01Our commitment
This statement covers the website run by Adov ("ADOV", "we", "us").
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or voice control, and people who prefer less motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we hold the websites we build for clients to the same standard.
02What we've done
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content.
- Text meets AA contrast against its background, including the navigation over images.
- Headings, landmarks and labels are marked up so screen readers can move around the page.
- Motion respects your device's reduced-motion setting: animations become simple fades or stop.
- Background videos are muted, have no essential content, and long-running ones have a pause button.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and don't time out.
- Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and when zoomed in, as WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow) requires.
03Known limitations
We test as we build, but we know of a few gaps we're working on:
- Some stock photographs have short descriptions that we'll improve as we replace them with our own images.
- Websites we link to, including client sites, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
04Report a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, email contactdavis@theadov.com with the page address and what happened. We'll reply within 5 working days and tell you what we'll do about it. If you need information from the site in another format, ask and we'll send it.
05If you're not happy with our response
In the UK, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). In Canada, provincial rules such as Ontario's AODA may apply; you can contact the provincial body responsible for accessibility standards.
